The 6 Best Hotels in Herzliya (2026)

Updated October 2026 · 6 picks

The best hotels in Herzliya are the Ritz-Carlton on the marina for luxury, the Dan Accadia for a beach holiday with children, Publica Isrotel for design and business, and the Sharon, Daniel and Okeanos along Ramat Yam for sea views at a lower price. Almost everything sits in Herzliya Pituach, on the coastal side of the city. Six, below.

1. The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya — Herzliya Marina, HaShunit Street

The best hotel in the city and the only true international luxury property on this stretch of coast.

₪₪₪₪ SplurgeBest for Couples · Solo

The Ritz-Carlton opened on the Herzliya marina at the end of 2013 and has been the city's benchmark ever since. It is a small hotel by the brand's standards, with around 115 rooms of which the great majority are suites, and that ratio is the point: it was built for long business stays and for Tel Aviv weekenders who want space rather than for coach tours.

The rooms look either over the marina and the yachts or out to open sea, there is a rooftop pool, and the spa is among the better hotel spas in the country. Herbert Samuel Herzliya, the kosher chef restaurant on the ground floor, is also the best restaurant in Herzliya, which means you can eat extremely well without leaving the building.

The trade-off is that the marina is a working marina rather than a beach: you are looking at boats and the harbour wall, and swimming means a short drive or walk to Accadia or Hasharon. For a business trip or a couple's weekend that is no loss at all. For a family holiday built around the sand, the Dan Accadia is the better buy.

Good to know: Ask for a marina-facing room on a high floor rather than a sea-view suite on a low one — the view of the harbour and the Tel Aviv skyline beyond it is the better one here.

2. Dan Accadia Herzliya — Accadia Beach, Ramat Yam

The classic Israeli beach-holiday hotel, straight onto one of the cleanest beaches in the country.

₪₪₪₪ SplurgeBest for Families · Couples

The Dan Accadia is the hotel most Israelis picture when they hear Herzliya: a low, sprawling Dan Hotels resort sitting directly above Accadia Beach, with its own access down to the sand. It has been refurbished in recent years, but the layout is still the generous 1960s resort plan rather than a tower.

What it has that the newer hotels do not is grounds. A large outdoor pool looking at the sea, six tennis courts, a spa, lawns, and enough room for children to be out of your hair, which is why it fills with Israeli families every summer and every chol hamoed.

Accadia Beach itself is consistently rated at or near the top of the Environmental Protection Ministry's Blue-Green Flag cleanliness rankings, which for a hotel beach is unusual and is a large part of what you are paying for.

Good to know: The sea-view rooms on the upper floors are worth the premium here in a way they are not at every hotel — the view is open Mediterranean with no marina or buildings in the way.

3. Publica Isrotel, Autograph Collection — Abba Eban Boulevard, Herzliya Pituach business district

The design hotel in the middle of the tech park — the one to book if you are here for work.

₪₪₪₪ SplurgeBest for Solo · Couples

Publica is Isrotel's design-led entry in Herzliya, run under Marriott's Autograph Collection, and it sits on Abba Eban Boulevard in the middle of the Herzliya Pituach business district rather than on the water.

That location is the whole proposition. The headquarters of a large share of Israel's technology industry are within a few minutes' walk, which makes it the obvious choice for anyone flying in for meetings, and it is built accordingly: work-friendly rooms, meeting space, and a restaurant and bar that fill with the business district at the end of the day rather than with hotel guests.

It is a five-minute drive to the marina and the beaches, so a leisure stay here is not unreasonable, but you would be choosing design and service over a sea view.

Good to know: Weekend rates drop sharply once the business week ends — a Friday or Saturday night here is often cheaper than a seafront room half its quality.

4. The Sharon Hotel — Ramat Yam Street, Herzliya Pituach

A long-standing seafront hotel on the clifftop road, with both sea-view and garden rooms.

₪₪₪ UpmarketBest for Families · Couples

The Sharon is one of the older hotels on the Herzliya seafront, standing on Ramat Yam just north of the heart of Pituach, overlooking the Mediterranean.

Rooms come as sea-view or garden-view, and the price gap between the two is the main decision to make. It also runs a sizeable long-stay and apartment-style business, which is worth knowing if you need somewhere for weeks rather than nights — it is set up for that in a way most Israeli hotels are not.

It does not try to compete with the Ritz-Carlton or the Dan Accadia on polish. What it offers is the same stretch of coast at a noticeably lower nightly rate.

Good to know: Ask about the long-stay and apartment rates if you are here for more than a week — they are not always quoted on the nightly booking pages.

5. Daniel Herzliya — 60 Ramat Yam Street, Herzliya Pituach

A full-service seafront hotel with a spa, popular for conferences and family weekends alike.

₪₪₪ UpmarketBest for Families · Groups

The Daniel sits at 60 Ramat Yam on the clifftop, part of the Tamares group, and is one of the larger hotels on the Herzliya seafront.

It is a conventional full-service hotel rather than a boutique one: a spa, a pool, conference and event space, and a restaurant that runs the usual large Israeli breakfast. That mix makes it a regular choice for company events and seminars during the week and for families at the weekend and over the festivals.

The sea views from the upper floors are genuinely good, and it is a short walk along Ramat Yam to the beaches below.

Good to know: If you are booking around a company event here, check what the hotel is hosting that week — a full conference changes the feel of the lobby and the breakfast room considerably.

6. Okeanos Suites Herzliya — 50 Ramat Yam Street, Herzliya Pituach

A small all-suite hotel on the seafront — the quiet, grown-up alternative to the big resorts.

₪₪₪ UpmarketBest for Couples · Families

Okeanos is the smallest hotel in this guide, an all-suite property of around forty suites at 50 Ramat Yam, between the larger seafront hotels.

Rooms are suites rather than hotel rooms, most of them facing the sea, which makes it a reasonable choice for a longer stay or for anyone who wants a kitchenette and a sitting area rather than resort facilities. There is no tennis court and no children's club.

The flipside of a small hotel is that service is personal and the public areas are never crowded, and that it books out quickly in summer.

Good to know: Book direct and ask which suites face straight out to sea rather than along the coast — the difference at this hotel is substantial and is not always clear from the room categories.

Frequently asked questions

Is Herzliya a good base for visiting Tel Aviv?

Yes, if you are driving or happy with taxis. Herzliya Pituach is roughly 20 minutes north of central Tel Aviv outside rush hour and about 20 minutes south of Netanya, and Ben Gurion Airport is around 30 minutes away. The catch is the traffic on Route 2 and the Ayalon in the morning and late afternoon, when the same drive can take twice as long. Herzliya also has a train station, but it is in the inland town rather than Pituach, so you will still need a short taxi at the hotel end.

What is the difference between Herzliya and Herzliya Pituach?

Herzliya Pituach is the coastal western section: the marina, the beaches, the villa neighbourhoods and the business park full of tech headquarters. The rest of Herzliya is an ordinary Israeli town inland, centred on Sokolov Street, with shops, falafel counters and the train station. Every hotel in this guide is in Pituach or on the seafront road that runs through it, which is what people almost always mean when they search for a hotel in Herzliya.

Which Herzliya hotels are actually on the beach?

The Dan Accadia sits directly above Accadia Beach, with its own access down to the sand, and the Sharon, Daniel and Okeanos all stand on Ramat Yam, the clifftop road, which means sea views and a short walk or a lift down to the water rather than a door opening onto it. The Ritz-Carlton overlooks the marina rather than open beach, and Publica is in the business district a few minutes inland.

Are Herzliya hotels kosher?

The larger Israeli-chain hotels here generally run kosher kitchens with a rabbinate certificate and do not serve on Shabbat in the usual way, while the international-brand and boutique properties vary. Kashrut certification changes hands and lapses, so if it matters to you, ask the hotel directly for its current teudah rather than relying on a listing — including ours.

When is the best time to book a Herzliya hotel?

Herzliya is a business town for most of the year and a beach town in summer, and the prices follow. July and August, plus Pesach, Sukkot and Rosh Hashanah, are the expensive weeks and sell out early. Midweek rates in winter and spring are often dramatically lower than the same room in August, and Sunday to Thursday is when the tech district fills the business hotels, so a weekend in February can be the best value of the year.

Do you need a car in Herzliya?

It helps a great deal. Herzliya Pituach is spread out and built for drivers, the beaches and the marina are not close to each other on foot, and bus coverage within Pituach is thin. All the hotels here have parking. If you are staying put at a beach hotel and taking the occasional taxi into Tel Aviv, you can manage without one.
