1. The Setai Sea of Galilee — Northern shore, near Kfar Nahum
A restored Ottoman fortress on the northern shore — the most striking hotel on the lake.
The Setai Sea of Galilee occupies a restored nineteenth-century Ottoman fortress on the northern shore, with thick stone walls, arched interiors and grounds running down toward the water.
It is by some distance the most architecturally serious hotel on the Kinneret, with a full spa and a level of finish that has no local comparison, and the northern shore position puts Capernaum, Tabgha and the Mount of Beatitudes within minutes.
It is expensive and it looks it. For a weekend built around the hotel rather than the region, it is the one.
Good to know: The northern shore location is better for the Christian sites than Tiberias itself.
