1. Tel Aviv Pride — Citywide, ending at the beach
The city's biggest event of the year by a wide margin.
Tel Aviv Pride runs as a week of events in June culminating in a parade that moves through the city and finishes with a large party on the beach, and it has historically drawn crowds from across Israel and abroad.
It is the single event that most defines Tel Aviv's international image, and the city commits to it comprehensively — flags on public buildings, events across every neighbourhood, and a substantial share of the population out on the street.
Accommodation sells out and prices rise sharply. If you are coming for Pride specifically, book several months ahead.
Good to know: The parade route closes large parts of the city to traffic. Plan to walk everywhere that day.
