1. Ramat Hanadiv Gardens — Zichron Ya'akov, southern Carmel
Formal memorial gardens on the Carmel's southern tip — the most beautiful setting in the region.
Ramat Hanadiv sits at the southern end of the Carmel above Zichron Ya'akov, a large formal memorial garden surrounding the burial place of Baron Edmond de Rothschild and his wife, with a nature park of several hundred hectares around it.
The gardens are meticulously maintained and genuinely beautiful — a rose garden, a palm garden, fountains and long formal axes — with views out over the coastal plain to the sea.
It is a public garden and a nature park as well as a venue, so check what is available and when. The setting is the strongest in the region by a distance.
Good to know: Combine with Zichron Ya'akov's main street and the Tishbi winery for guests staying the weekend.
